Gilroy Gardens Visit #2

Our second trip to Gilroy Gardens was with the Yamada and Berman families. It was a fun day! It wasn't too hot and even with six kids and a baby, we managed to do all the rides we wanted. We even squeezed in some carnival games, time at the playground, Icee breaks, and face painting. Friends make everything more fun!

The rock maze. We ran through this so fast!
Colin's first solo ride. He seemed a little confused but got the hang of waving to us.

Double Zoo Weekend!

We had a big zoo weekend and visited not one, but two zoos. On Saturday we went to Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo. It's a small, free zoo with a couple of small animals, some insect/bug exhibits, and hands-on science exhibits. We ended up spending a lot of time inside the museum part. It was surprising how such a small space could keep us (even Colin) entertained for so long!

Hello, raccoon!
Colin sat and played here for at least twenty minutes. He never does that at home. Then again, he doesn't get to play with electrical plugs and wires everyday.
Another insect costume.

On Sunday we spontaneously decided to go to San Francisco Zoo. It's been a couple of years since we last went and we've been missing out! In addition to all the animal exhibits and the train ride, they have a huge play area with multiple playgrounds that was recently added. We played there for a good hour and I was excited to run into my preschool friend Mac there. After we saw each other, we were inseparable for the rest of the day. The whole family is in agreement that it was a great day at the zoo!

Couldn't get enough of these wall photos.
