One Month Update

I made it through my first month! It went by so quickly. I still sleep most of the time and wake up every three hours to eat. Mommy and Daddy have learned that I'm not afraid to protest when I don't like something and have a very strong pair of lungs.
  • I weigh 10 lbs, 4 oz. and measure 21 inches long. I've gained three pounds since birth and am in the 60th(!) percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height. I seriously chubbed up after about two weeks. I have a big round belly and lots of arm and leg rolls!
  • Sleep: I sleep pretty well during the day but not so much at night. During my first two weeks I was so fussy at night that me and Mommy slept on the couch in the living room so I wouldn't wake up Kaitlyn. I've since moved to the Pack and Play in Mommy and Daddy's room, but most mornings I end up co-sleeping in bed with Mommy.
  • Things I hate: car seats, baths, and being swaddled
  • Awareness: I can't focus on much yet but I like to stare up at the lights on the ceiling. Also, I always turn toward the sound of Kaitlyn's voice. It must be a familiar sound since I kept hearing her when I was in Mommy's tummy.
I can look really peaceful when I'm sleeping. If only I did this more often at night!

Easter Fun

This year's Easter projects. All bunnied out.

We had a fun weekend, filled with all the usual Easter activities.

Easter egg decorating:
I am obsessed with eggs - both eating them and playing with them. I play with those plastic eggs all year round so coloring the real eggs is always one of my favorite projects.

So proud of my eggs I had to take a picture with my iPhone.

Egg hunt:
We went to the annual Easter egg hunt at Washington Park. It was pretty crowded and the 3-4 year age group was especially crazy. The whole thing was over in less than five minutes. I didn't get as many chocolate eggs as last year, but some kids didn't get any at all, so I can't complain. In hindsight, I should have used Colin and gone with the 0-1 year age group, since a lot of kids were helping out their younger siblings. He was too busy sleeping though.

Easter Bunny visit:
The Easter Bunny came overnight and filled my basket with small toys and goodies. I had made it clear that I didn't want him coming into our house (he's too scary), so I agreed to leave the basket outside our front door instead.

He left treats for Brady too, but I had to help him find them. I enjoyed another egg hunt in our backyard, and Brady enjoyed gobbling up all the treats that were inside.

Look how intently he is looking at those treat-stuffed eggs!

Brady and I really enjoyed the new bubble maker that the Easter Bunny left me.

Spring Time!

We enjoyed some sunny weather and fun activities at a spring picnic hosted by San Mateo Mother's Club. There was an Easter egg hunt, face painting, cookie decorating, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

I picked up plenty of eggs, only to find that they were empty inside. We ended up trading them in for a goodie bag.

Me, Lidia, and Wylie counting our empty eggs.

I decorated this cookie and promptly ate it afterward.

Colin met the Easter Bunny for the first time. I, however, wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny so I just watched from nearby.

Then, we tired ourselves out chasing bubbles, running to see the ducks, and playing on the grass. It was a good time!

Hello!

Hello everybodee! It's about time I introduced myself! My name is Colin and I'm the newest member of the Ng family. It's been a crazy first few weeks of life, but I'm glad to be here. Aside from sleeping and eating, I've been getting to know my new family.

I have a proud big sister who loves to hold me.

And a pet dog. He's not sure what to think of me yet, but whenever I start screaming, he runs away.

Brady meets me for the first time.

I'm still very tiny but growing very fast.

This is just the beginning. I'm sure there's a lot more in store for me and I look forward to sharing my adventures with y'all!
