Easter Weekend

As usual, another holiday that resulted in days of celebrations. Thanks to daycare and preschool, I enjoyed two egg hunts, numerous activities and crafts, and lots of Easter-themed treats.

Showing off my loot from the egg hunt at daycare.

Grandma and Grandpa came up to visit for the weekend. On Saturday they accompanied us to Washington Park for my third egg hunt. Mommy thought I would really enjoy this one. Instead, it was a little too overwhelming for me and I refused to even stand up. Daddy had to carry me through the field and pick the eggs up for me.

See how my legs are wrapped around his waist? This is what I do when I don't want to be put down.

Ma-ma helped me color Easter eggs at home. I had so much fun that this may end up being a year-round project. Mommy made sure to stock up on coloring kits at the post-Easter clearances (as well as those chocolate-dipped Peeps).

On Easter morning, I woke up to find that the Easter bunny had come and filled my basket with goodies.

The eggs! The bunnies! The treats! I love Easter!

On the Sidewalk

Coming home from the park, Kaitlyn got a little distracted, jumped off her tricycle, and stopped to do this:

My New Best Friend

Meet the newest member of our family, Brady!

This little guy is nine weeks old and already a little troublemaker.  We brought him home last Friday and spent the weekend playing with him, trying to avoid his sharp little teeth, and watching him pee all over the house.  It was an exhausting weekend, but his cuteness and furriness makes up for it!

Here are some photos from our first few days with him.

The day we picked him up. Photo courtesy of Brady's breeder.
First car ride home. He slept most of the way.
His first day home.

As a puppy, Brady loves to nip and chew, especially people his own size (ie. me). It's been a little tough keeping us both together, but once he calms down a bit, we get along great.

Helping with the yardwork.
Our first outing. A trip to the park.

Brady even puts up with my loud toys. Here's a video of him watching me play.

I think we are going to grow up to become best friends.

Urban Playground

We took a trip to the city a few weeks ago. Mommy had a doctor's appointment and while we waited, Daddy took me to a nearby playground that turned out to be lots of fun.

Afterwards we ventured into the Mission where we enjoyed lunch at Pizzeria Delfina (I ate so many breadsticks that I barely ate the pizza) and topped it off with an ice cream cone at Bi-Rite Creamery. Yum.

Playdates and Puppies

What an eventful weekend!

First off...puppies!! On Saturday morning, after weeks of anticipation, we drove out to Livermore to pick out our new puppy! Seriously, there was nothing cuter than seeing me together with seven playful puppies. It was a very difficult choice, but Mommy finally picked out our puppy after over an hour of going back and forth.

Here is our new puppy! We can't wait to bring him home next week!

After an exciting morning, I had to rest up for a fun evening. My BFF Alyssa came over for a playdate and dinner. We get along so well. Even though it had been awhile since we'd seen each other, we picked up right where we left off.

There was something really funny about being under the dinner table.

Finally, on Sunday we had a playdate at Matty's house. Mommy worked with Matty's mommy, Auntie Helen, back in LA. They moved here from SoCal over a year ago and we finally got together! We also met his little brother Nathan, who just turned one, for the first time. I had lots of fun playing on their staircase and with all their toys!

St. Patty's Day

I didn't think St. Patrick's Day was a big deal, but between preschool and daycare we really couldn't ignore it. Last week I must have come home with something green every day.

One day after preschool I was so excited to run out and show Mommy my crafts.

We did crafts at daycare too, although Mommy didn't take any photos. I did love this little leprechaun hat that I came home with.

Another Family Photo Shoot

We finally got the images back from a family photo shoot we did last November. I found a deal on Living Social and figured we can never have too many photos of the family. It was a quick 30-minute shoot and therefore not long enough for Kaitlyn to warm up to the camera, so we only got a few photos of her actually smiling.
