Like every other little girl, I wanted a Frozen party for my birthday this year. Really, I'm not that into princesses, but after going to another birthday party where Elsa and Anna showed up, I insisted on having them at my party too. Since we've been to enough Frozen/winter/snowflake-themed parties lately and my birthday is in the summer, Mommy made it a Frozen in Summer party.
Mommy wanted a picture with me before the party and I wanted to stand in front of the streamers that matched our clothes.
The only shot with the streamer decorations in the background that took forever to hang. Never again!
We had some simple snacks and for once, Mommy took the time to match the food with the theme and make some clever little food labels. She couldn't resist, thanks to Pinterest.
Your Own Personal Snow Flurries (Pirate's Booty) and Sven Snacks
"We Finish Each Other's" Sandwiches and Troll Meatballs
That "Marshmallow Mix" was good stuff! Vanilla Chex, pretzel sticks, mini marshmallows, and icy blue sixlets.
Had to include the "melted snowman" water, lol.
The Pin the Nose on Olaf game was a hit. All the kids were taking second and third turns.
Mommy had told me that Elsa and Anna were too busy to come to my party so that I wouldn't expect them. So when she had all the kids sit down for a surprise, I asked her "What's the surprise? Are we playing musical chairs?" It really was a great surprise when they showed up and I was beaming the whole time!
The princesses were great entertainers and had really good voices. They sang songs, played some games with us, and made balloon animals. They did a great job of making me feel extra special. Here's a video of them singing Let it Go. Surprisingly, even the boys sang and danced along!
Ice cream cone cupcakes for the kids (easier to serve), regular cake for the grownups
Olaf in summer cake. The Olaf figurine is actually a pool toy and his hula skirt is made out of that fake grass that comes with sushi. The towel is made out of fruit roll-ups. He was supposed to be sitting under an umbrella but Mommy totally forgot to put it on the cake.
Some of my preschool friends.
I helped Mommy with the favor bags, which is why half the labels ended up going on crooked.
I had so much fun from beginning to end and was excited to have so many friends over at my house at once. And now I can say that Elsa and Anna have actually been to my house!
