Walking
It's been a busy month so I haven't had much time to post. But a few weeks ago Kaitlyn started walking with assistance. Here's a video we shot over the weekend of her practicing - she goes so fast now! You can't really tell from this video but whenever she walks, she always has this happy smile on her face, like she's doing something she really enjoys. :)

I'm a Cruiser Baby!
Guess what? After nearly half my life wearing size 2 diapers, I have finally graduated to size 3! Not only have I gone up a size, but this means that my Pampers baby status has been upgraded from Swaddler to Cruiser!
Yay!

11 Months!
I am eleven months old! It was quite a month for me. I caught a cold and an ear infection, and of course, continued teething. I also kept busy attending a wedding and two birthday parties. All my friends are turning one, and it will be my turn very soon!
- I weigh 17 lbs, 5 oz. I'm gaining weight, but at eleven months I STILL fit into 6-mo. clothing and size 2 diapers!
- I can pull myself up to standing. Mom documented it all right here.
- Crawling? Nope. Even though I can practically walk, I'm still doing the army crawl, dragging my whole body across the floor.
- I wave goodbye. I learned how to do it at daycare in the mornings when watching Mom and Dad from the window. Occasionally, it's been accompanied by a "buh-buh." Could that possibly be my first word?
- No more boob milk. Right after I turned 10 months, I practically self-weaned myself in a matter of days. One day I was breastfeeding, and the next day I completely lost interest and preferred the bottle. Now I'm on 100% formula, drinking up to 24 oz. every day.
- New favorite activities. I love climbing all over Mom and Dad and playing with their heads, including playing "dentist" with Mom (forcing her mouth open and inspecting her teeth), slapping Dad's head repeatedly, and chewing on Dad's ears. I also love holding any object in each hand, and banging them together to make noise.
- Favorite foods: I still love cheese. But I also love greek yogurt and cauliflower/broccoli with cheese sauce. I also discovered pizza and pupusas this month, and I'm a huge fan!
And since I'm sure you can't get enough pictures of me...

Too cute!
I took these pictures last Sunday, after I put Kaitlyn down for her morning nap. I normally lay her down in the crib, but since lately she's just been getting back up, I decided to sit her down. When I checked the video monitor a few minutes later, I found her like this - the same position I left her in! It was too cute I had to go back in and snap some photos. :)

"Look Mom, I'm standing!"
Another milestone has been reached! Kaitlyn is now pulling herself up and standing! It took a little over two weeks to figure it out, but now that she has, she is constantly crawling around the house and finding things to pull herself up on.
It all started with the TV stand. The drawer handle was at the perfect height for Kaitlyn to pull herself to her knees, and this became her favorite spot for a few days. Sometimes she would get "stuck," hang out in this position for a few minutes, and then cry for someone to rescue her.
Another favorite spot was the window ledge.
Then one day, all of sudden, she just started doing it. She pulled herself up all on her own!
Now she does it all the time. And she can play with her new activity table!
And of course, it means it's time to lower her crib.
My little girl is getting so big. It won't be long now until she's walking!

Mother's Day
I received my first ever Mother's Day gift from Kaitlyn. She had a little help at daycare, but I was so surprised and touched to receive my first piece of art from her.

I even received flowers at work on Friday. I brought them home so I could enjoy them over the weekend.
Finally, Prentice cooked dinner for the whole family, including my mom and grandma.

I know Mother's Day is meant to be a day to show how much you appreciate your mom, but now that I'm a mom myself, I feel it's more like a day to appreciate being a mom. I feel so lucky to be Kaitlyn's mommy and it just gets more and more rewarding each day.
I would love getting to sleep in more often though...

SoCal weekend
This past weekend we flew down to SoCal. Although we were supposed to visit Grandma and Grandpa, turns out they were in Hong Kong! Since they were away, I helped clean their kitchen floor.
Hanging out with the birthday boy.
The birthday cone hats were so cute!
We went to my friend Dylan's first birthday party. It was a beautiful sunny day and I had so much fun hanging out on the lawn and playing with my friends.
| Hmm, I think this is my first time ever sitting in grass. |

It's never too early to start kissing boys (shh, don't tell Daddy)!

It's also never a trip to OC without a visit to Cosi. Mom used to frequent this eatery when she was living in NYC. She looooves their sandwiches.
It was my second plane trip to SoCal and I did pretty well on both flights. I was a little restless on the way back, but at least I wasn't screaming like the other baby on the other side of the aisle. :)
It was another fun weekend and I was sad to be home. I tried to help Mom and Dad unpack, hoping that they'll take me on another trip again soon!
