Happy Hollow (Again)

Last weekend was a long weekend, so we made a visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Since our membership was about to expire, we took another trip to Happy Hollow. I finally rode the carousel (twice!) without freaking out.

A Happy Hollow trip is not complete without a visit to the petting zoo.

A Rocky Mountain Christmas

Happy 2013!

I had such a fun Christmas vacation. We spent two weeks with the Tans at their new house in Colorado Springs. It was cold! But I had a great time hanging out with my cousins, Goo Ma and Goo Jeff, and grandma and grandpa.

Christmas Eve:
Matching pajamas!
Cookies, grandma's almond roll cake, and a carrot for the reindeer. Alex and Kieran sure know how to make Santa happy (I'm taking notes for next year).

On Christmas morning, we woke up to find that Santa had left us presents under the tree.

I got a new set of Magna-Tiles, and also a doggy vet kit. Yay!

It also snowed overnight, and I had my first white Christmas!

One day we took a day trip to Breckenridge. Mommy got to go snowboarding, and I had fun playing in the snow and making snow angels. But the most fun of all was riding the gondola. At one point we did a whole round trip without even getting out!

Finally, after New Year's, we celebrated Alex's 9th birthday. Goo Ma made some yummy s'mores cupcakes.

Oh yeah, one of my favorite things about Colorado? The fresh chocolate milk and eggnog delivered straight from the dairy. Since I was on vacation, I got a small cup every day and I made sure to drink every last drop. Yummy.

I miss my cousins already. Can't wait to go back to Colorado!

Christmas Gifts

Since we spent Christmas in Colorado this year, Santa came to our house a few days early.  Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma, and Uncle Andrew all came over to watch me open my gifts. I must have been really good this year, because I got so many presents!

My gifts included a FurReal doggy, a Dreamlight, books, a Hello Kitty feeding set, more food for my kitchen, and a LEGO set. I also got a very sharp pair of Hello Kitty scissors, courtesy of great-grandma. I can't wait to play with it in a few years.

Santa brought me one especially giant gift...

A new tricycle!!

Here's a video of the action.

Thanks Santa!

Happy Holidays

December was a busy month, filled with lots of holiday activities.

Christmas Tree Shopping:
It was more like Christmas wreath shopping. Since we wouldn't be home during Christmas, Mommy settled on a giant wreath hung over our fireplace to put the presents under.

Meeting Santa:
My meeting with Santa this year didn't go so well. We actually had no plans to visit him, but then I happened to be at the mall with Mommy and Grandma and there he was, sitting in his chair with no one in line. I was happy to give him high fives and fist bumps, but when it came time to sit on his lap, I kind of freaked out. There was crying and back-arching involved. So we settled on a photo with all three of us and Santa.

Holiday Party:
We stopped by the annual BMC holiday party at the Burlingame Rec Center. There were several arts and crafts stations and a magic show that kept me entertained for a while. I also got to decorate some Christmas cookies, but once I discovered that I could eat the frosting, I forgot all about the decorating.

Holiday Lights:
One evening we went to check out this one street in San Carlos where every single house was covered with holiday lights. It was pretty impressive. I especially liked all the snowmen.

Art Projects:
Finally, I kept very busy at preschool and daycare with all of the holiday-themed art projects. I made lots of snowmen, reindeer, and ornaments. Mommy also enlisted me to help decorate presents with Christmas stickers, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I love art time!

This bag was filled with all the goodies I made in preschool.
