Summer ended months ago and we're halfway through fall, but Mommy has so many pictures from her phone that she's been meaning to post. Better late than never!
We kept busy over the summer with some camps, classes, and lots of outings in between.
Summer Camp: Champions, the after-school program I attended last year, offered a weekly summer camp on campus. There was a field trip each week and the highlight for me was getting to ride a school bus for the first time. I also attended a partial week just so I could spend time with Teagan, my best friend from kindergarten, one last time before she moved across the country.
Little Wonders: The co-op program that Mommy and Colin attended last year. We did a special summer session where older siblings were able to attend as well. I liked getting to see Colin's "school" and Colin liked that "Kaitlyn come with me" to his special place. Classes were held in the evenings, so Mommy liked that we were both entertained, she could chat with other parents, and we didn't have to worry about dinner once a week. Everybody won!
Movies: Mommy and I went to the movies a couple times, to watch Finding Dory and The Secret Life of Pets. We also took Colin to watch his first movie in a theater, The Peanuts Movie. He sat through the whole thing! It helped that he had already seen the movie many times before and that we had lots of popcorn.
Bowling: We went bowling with the Bermans and Yamadas. Another first for Colin and he seemed to enjoy it. What's not to like about playing with big heavy objects?
The Coop SF: A new indoor playground in South SF. Primarily used for birthday parties on weekends (it was featured on Shark Tank), but they have open play during the week. There's not much other than a giant ball pit and bounce house, but it managed to keep us entertained for hours.
Magical Bridge Playground: In Palo Alto, one of the nicest playgrounds we have ever visited. So big and so clean! Followed by a frozen yogurt treat at the nearby library cafe.
Half Moon Bay: Spontaneous trip to the beach and we even saw some whales offshore!
SF Zoo: We made good use of our season passes this year and took several trips.
Children's Fairyland, Oakland: A cute little park with some rides and play areas.
Birthday Parties: There was a surprising amount of birthday parties so I got to see my school friends on a regular basis over the summer.
