On the fourth of July, we went to Foster City to check out the Family and Dog Parade. When Mommy mentioned going to a parade, I asked if we would see a marching band, and she promised we would. I was really excited about getting to watch people play instruments. Sadly, there was no marching band, just a bunch of people walking their dogs down the street. What a letdown. Oh well, at least I got to ride my tricycle.
Looking confused. Where's the marching band?
There were some carnival rides there as well. I kept asking to go on this one dragon ride where you sit inside the dragon and it spins. We waited in this long line under the hot sun but when it was finally our turn, I chickened out. I ran out of the ride and refused to go back in.
Waiting in line. "Is it my turn?" I asked over and over.
"Noooo! No blue dragon!"
It was a pretty rough morning, so we headed to Half Moon Bay for the rest of the afternoon. We hung out on the beach and built sandcastles.
Brady doing his usual thing at the beach.
I also helped Mommy finish off this big bowl of steamed mussels. I probably ate more than she did. I love mussels.
In the evening, we went over to Wylie's place to play and watch the fireworks. They didn't start until way past my bedtime but Wylie kept me entertained and I had no problem staying awake.
It was my first time seeing fireworks and I had a great time! Here is me and Wylie watching them together. You can't see us but you can hear how silly we are. Shout out to Auntie Sammy, who taught me the word "explosion!"
