Treasure Island

Last Sunday we took a trip out to Treasure Island. No, not the hotel in Vegas, but an actual island in between the City and the East Bay. Mommy and Daddy always wondered what was there whenever driving through the Bay Bridge. Well, aside from an old naval station and some residential buildings, there really isn't much. But once a month they hold the Treasure Island Flea, an outdoor market with lots of cool stuff to discover.

In addition to the flea market, it is also food truck heaven. Since we arrived early enough, we didn't have to wait in line for anything.

Grilled mac n' cheese sandwich with bacon...all my favorite things in one bite!
Daddy's heart attack sandwich - a fried chicken sandwich topped with pulled pork, bacon, cheese, a fried egg, and coleslaw. Because he was hungry.

We walked around the market and browsed. There was lots of rustic/antique/vintage stuff (read: old, used, and not very cheap).

I got to feed some goats.

I picked out some treats for Brady from this gourmet dog bakery stand.

Cupcakes and donuts for dogs.

Then we ate some ice cream while enjoying views of the bay.

Turns out Treasure Island is a pretty cool place, at least on flea market weekends. We can't wait to go back (and eat more)!
