My First Camping Trip

Over Memorial Day weekend I went on my first camping trip! At first Mommy and Daddy weren't planning to go this year since I was around, but Kaitlyn kept talking about camping and how much fun it was. So they decided to take the trip and join some other families for one night. We went to Manresa State Beach near Santa Cruz, the same campground as last year.

Here I am in the tent where I slept between Mommy, Daddy, and Kaitlyn. It was cold at night with no electricity or running water. Talk about roughing it at ten weeks old!

Just kidding. We cheated and Mommy and I drove back to Grandma and Grandpa's house at night to sleep in a warm bed. I'm not quite old enough to go tent camping yet. However, Kaitlyn had a great time sleeping in the tent and spending special time with Daddy.

We met up with everyone the next morning and spent all day at the beach. Kaitlyn had a blast flying her Spiderman kite, building sand castles, and hunting for sand crabs.

It's not camping without a piñata.

I can't wait to do some real camping when I get older!
